Must Watch: Woman Drives Peugeot 107 Off a Drawbridge

Ever wondered what would happen if you drove a car off the end of a drawbridge? Of course you did, since Hollywood and cartoons are crazy about these types of daredevil stunts. But in reality, if you jump a car, bad things are going to happen to you and the suspension.

What's being reported to be a 58-year old woman pulled a crazy Evel Knievel stunt in the Croatian town of Sibenik. Ignoring all the stop signs and the obviously inclined road she was driving on, this Peugeot 107 driver fell off a drawbridge, leaving the front bumper behind in the process.

Her excuse? She didn't see the bridge was raised because the sun was in her face. After taking a 2.5-meter (8 feet) plunge, the little Peugeot landed face-first, ripping off its front bumper and deploying the airbags.

Local authorities say this isn't the first time this has happened. The bridge connects the town to a nearby island and many people can't stand having to wait for the boat to pass. Even a tractor is said to have taken the plunge in recent years. The 58-year old woman was given a 250 Kuna (€33) fine by local police. Let's hope that and a huge repair bill will teach her to be a little more careful.

Editor's note: The rock soundtrack and shake camerawork really sell this video, but Lil Jon's "Turn Down for What" would have been much better.
