We are now going through a historical moment in the ever-so-vicious Ford Mustang vs. Chevrolet Camaro sales battle, with the Blue Oval’s pony trampling the GM machine for the first time in six years.
The all-new 2015 Mustang has had such an appeal that, through the first five months of this year, it has managed to convince 56,571 owners, while the Camaro has only managed to do the same with 30,166 customers, as the Detroit News writes.

The sales data through June 2015 should arrive later today, but we’re expecting the trend to follow the same direction. That’s because you don’t need a profound analysis to figure out that while the Mustang is all-new, the fifth-gen Camaro is on its way out.

Nevertheless, the 6th generation Camaro is scheduled to land in dealerships later this year and we can’t wait to see the battle being fought on these new terms.

But what about the Challenger?

As for the Dodge Challenger, the 2015 refresh may have brought us tons of reasons to rejoice, from the Hellcat to the Mopar Drag Pak, but this is no volume soldier - the Chrysler creation has managed to sell 30,166 units.

Returning to the Mustang and the Camaro, we must also talk overseas affairs. Both are willing to take advantage of the financial opportunities across the pond. While the Mustang has already been unleashed on the twisty European roads, the 2016 Camaro has made its Euro debut at last week’s Goodwood Festival of Speed.
