The first photos of the new MV Agusta roadster have made it online, even though in a “leaked” form, with small dimensions and poor quality. Anyway, they already tell half the story and this is a good thing. It looks like the house of Varese opted to retain the overall attire of the Brutale 800 Dragster, even though the RR suffix HAD to introduce some new details.
At the same time, even though we almost placed wagers as to the name of the new bike, MV Agusta preferred to keep things simple, thus keeping the basic Dragster name and adding the RR. Since the double R is a standard badge for anything that’s deep into the sport bike territory, we can also expect that MV Agusta upped the game with this bike, too.
So far, the biggest change which can be seen is the wire spoked wheels. They are manufactured by Kineo and have been painted to match the two new liveries. It looks like MV Agusta took red as the base color for the Dragster 800RR, with the two new liveries being differentiated by the dominance of either black or white.
This is how we get a lighter machine with white wheels and the same color dominating the paint job and a complementary “darker” version with more black on the bodywork and matching black rims. Both machines look flawless and aggressive, and are also consistent with MV Agusta’s traditional sporty nature.
However, nothing is known so far about the tech specs of the Dragster 800RR. The only thing which seems to confirm that the Dragster 800RR will arrive with more power and possibly more complex electronics is the CRC (Castiglioni Research Centre) decal on the tail section of the bike. This detail was revealed in the first MV Agusta Dragster 800RR teaser video. It may indicate that the 800RR will produce more than the 125hp and 81 Nm (59.7 lb-ft) of torque of the current Dragster, and possibly upgraded electronics, with riding modes, user presets and all.

Steering damper is certain, the rest of the tech specs are yet unknown
