Avalanche Studios has just announced the day you’ll be able to transform yourself from a nice, law-abiding driver to a post-apocalyptical mad man that is willing to do basically anything to stay alive in the dangerous Wasteland. However, in case you were planning to play it on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 there's bad news for you, the developer has decided to axe these versions of the upcoming game.
Last time we heard anything about the long-awaited video game based on the Mad Max film series, its publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced they are delaying the initial launch date. Yet, here we are finally knowing something precise, the game developer also announced they will also release a SteamOS version.

As you probably heard by now, in the game you’ll be playing Max himself who apparently lost his beloved Interceptor and need to look for it. And since we’re looking at a world where modified cars are a means of survival, finding it is quite important. Max must traverse the barren desert in search for his lost treasured car which implies a lot of people-slaughter, flaming exhaust, rat-rods, desert dust, shotguns and a long road to go.

According to Digital Spy, pre-order customers will receive an additional Magnum Opus car body called “The Ripper”, which packs a V8 engine, upgraded exhaust with custom off-road tires, a ramming grill and a tuned suspension. In other words, if you’re a fan you’d better hurry up.

PS: Like we said earlier, the game was announced during E3 2013 and was initially scheduled to launch during spring 2014 on all platforms. Later delayed, on September 1st Mad Max will hit the North American market first.
