When the owner of a Maserati Quattroporte had investigators questioning him over his wrecked car found a couple of blocks away from his home, the man said two black men had threatened him at gunpoint earlier that night. But what at first sounded credible turned out to be rather a cheap lie, since surveillance cameras show the only people abandoning the car where two white men and a white woman.
When you’re a luxury sports sedan driver, you probably love driving your car so the last thing you want is having police taking you driver’s license. This seems to be the case with this Maserati owner, rather then actually being the victim of a theft.

Reports are the man claims he was robbed in the parking lot of the Uptown Cabaret on East Morehead Street just after 2am, Monday. But new evidences found by investigators, such as the fact the driver has been drinking alcohol or that the wrecked car was found blocks away from the victim’s home, bag the differ.

Moreover, footage taken by surveillance cameras show two white men and a white woman, instead of what the Maserati owner initially declared.

It’s not clear what the follow up is, but we’re sure the guy is now reconsidering his brilliant idea, especially that, if it proves the cops are right, he could even face some nice, well-deserved prison time. Turns out some people just won’t understand driving under the influence is something you should really stay away from.
