These new spyshots we've just received show the next in line is the CLA Shooting Brake which is set to receive a minor update. We say "minor" because a lot of the new features brought by the recent facelift for the A-Class were already in place on the CLA and CLA Shooting Brake, so there isn't that much to change here.

Take the radiator grille, for example. The A-Class has only just received the concave-shaped grille, while the CLA Shooting Brake was already getting bored with it. The headlights, on the other hand, appear to be new on the CLA Shooting Brake as well, using the new shape and LED signature borrowed from the larger models. They will also ditch the old bi-xenon technology in favor of full LED lights.

Apart from that, the front end of the new CLA Shooting Brake will see a different bumper design which is well covered under the white camouflage. However, it's plain to see it will sport large, gaping air intakes just like the current model, but with a different shape. This does seem to make the CLA Shooting Brake look slightly more aggressive and also better planted on the road.

The side profile remains the same with just the rear of the car receiving some more attention from Mercedes-Benz's designers. Not much is changed here either, the focus being the taillights which keep the same overall shape but will have different graphics now. What kind of graphics? Well, that's the big secret soon to be unveiled. We can also spot some minor modifications in the shape of the final exhaust tips, but nothing to get excited about.

The news in the powertrain department is just as frail, but more novelties are expected to be found on the inside, where the infotainment system will be upgraded to an 8-inch screen with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There should also be a new instrument cluster.

Since the CLA Shooting Brake is still a relatively new model - it was launched late 2014 - this facelift which should hit us sometime next year comes a bit early. By the looks of it, though it will bring minor visual implications and focus more on a technological update of the car. Which, if you ask us, isn't exactly a bad thing.
