The new Eldorado builds on a majestic heritage, as this Guzzi is one of the bikes that made it big in the US. Sporting classic American design cues, the new Eldorado remains faithful to its ancestor, even though it retains an unmistakable modern vibe.

Guzzi's new take on the Eldorado theme is now powered by a no-nonsense Big Block 90-degree v-twin engine that produces 96 hp @ 6,500 revs and a whopping torque of 120 Nm (88.4 lb-ft) at as low as 2,750 rpm. This ensures that twisting the throttle of the massive cruiser weighing 314 kg (693 lb kerb) offers a reassuring feeling of agility.

Electronics hidden under the retro looks

Eldorado comes with Guzzi's latest technologies in engine management and road safety, cleverly dissimulated in the picturesque attire. The Magneti Marelli injection uses a 52mm throttle body and a ride-by-wire system.

No less than three engine mappings are available on the Eldorado, as well as the Guzzi new traction control system. Since we're talking riding hard and riding far, the Guzzi Eldorado also comes standard with cruise control.

The 6-speed shaft-drive machine is tamed by dual 320mm front rotors and a 282mm rear one, squeezed by radial calipers and a float one, respectively. The rear suspension uses dual shocks, while the front end is loaded with a 46mm fully-covered fork.

Eldorado employs 16" rims shod with white walls, LED daytime running lights and a wide, comfy seat that will make long hauls less fatiguing. Cue full floorboards, accessory leather saddlebags and smartphone-ready systems for a bike that can be described as an old spirit that now breathes in a new-born body.
