Patrick Friesacher was having so much fun doing a burnout at the Goodwood Festival of Speed that he didn't notice his rear tire had caught on fire. However, we noticed and are sharing his stunt with you.
Friesacher has always been a crowd favorite at the Goodwood track. The 34-year old Austrian is known for his F1 stunts and late switched to ALMS. However, this clip captures him behind the wheel of a Toyota Camry NASCAR racer belonging to Red Bull.

Instead of waiting for the track marshals to come and extinguish the flames, Patrick decided to continue laying down some serious rubber on the whole track. With pink smoke coming from the back, many spectators probably thought that this was an intentional stunt.

If they had showered the race car with extinguisher foam, that could have ruined the traction of the tires and caused a safety problem for the other cars that were coming behind. So it's a good thing that Patrick had the stones to do a lap.

Speaking of stones, there were plenty of drivers with heavy ones at Goodwood. Terry Grant is one example, as the man set a new Guinness world record for the fastest time over 1 mile on 2 wheels. His Juke Nismo RS did it in 2 minutes 10 seconds.

We also saw Ken Block in his AWD Mustang and BJ Baldwin with his Chevy Baja truck. In that respect, Goodwood is like a piece of gymkhana. All we need for 2016 are the bikini girls and free energy drinks.
