The movie industry makes billions of dollars every year but the big money actors earnings usually come from all sorts of other endorsements. From footwear to collectables, the big cash usually comes from commercials Hollywood celebrities star in, such as auto adverts. However, it seems there’s even a better way to make money that slowly arises and that involves partnering up with high-end airways, such as those from UAE.
It seems Nicole Kidman is one of those who realized that already, since she recently cut a deal with none other than Etihad Airways, the second largest airline of the United Arab Emirates. We are talking about a young airline that is growing considerably by the year, having delivered a net profit of $42 million in 2012 alone.

The video was released this weekend and has the stunning Australian actress playing the role of a story teller, a narrator that talks about a world where “occasionally, people come along who are not content simply moving things along. They want to take things further, tear up the plans and start up again”.

Covered in a subtle flare of luxury, the entire advertorial is some sort of fairy tale that opens up a new world, where reinventing is the key word. The point is, that Etihad Airways reimagines flying, not only is improving it. “Our new TV commercial featuring Nicole Kidman, draws the inspirations and influences that lead to the world’s most remarkable travel experiences,” the spot is described.

Similar to what most of UAE’s big companies do, Etihad Airways also has other business ventures that imply corporate sponsorships. For instance, they have been sponsoring Scuderia Ferrari in Formula 1 from 2008 onwards. They also back up other highly popular sports, such as the Major League of Soccer with which they recently signed an agreement turning them into the league's official airline partner.

This is what UAE companies normally do, try to expand their marketing ventures as far as possible and having Nicole Kidman on board will sure help help boost the airline’s image as a top notch service.
