If you think about it from a certain perspective, the Nissan GT-R is one of the most popular supercar of recent years. Not only does it sell well, but the car has been constantly adapted over the years.
Yet what do you do if you happen to own an older model R35 from 2007 or so? You could visit an aftermarket shop for some upgrades, but the Nismo division not only makes a track-ready 600 hp monster, it also has performance parts on offer.

Nissan Motorsports International has just launched a sports titanium muffler system that's sure to appeal to every owner of a 2007 to 2010 model. It fits on factory mounts and offers huge weight savings, but at a (financial) cost.

Being made from titanium instead of steel, the muffler is 8 kilograms lighter than the factory one. Of course, the performance gains made by ditching 17.6 pounds are minimal, but everybody knows sports exhausts sound cool.

Nissan says that in the middle and high-speed range, the sound is supposed to be light and pleasant. Of course, this being Japan, they haven't made it louder so as not to upset the neighbors. The only issue is that the system is a tad expensive at 478,00 yen, excluding tax. That's $3,900 and by the time it's delivered in the US, it could push 5k.

But wait, there's more. Happen to own an older model GT-R, like the R32, R33 or R34. Those are pretty cool too, but it would be nice to add Nismo parts. You can, as the company launched "LM GT4 OMORI FACTORY SPEC" aluminum wheel that fit the entire retro range.

For the R32, it's available either as a 17x9.0J or 1x9.0J model, but R33 and R34 Godzilas only offer the 18×9.5J size. In both cases, forged alloy technology means the alloys are lighter and stronger. At the same time, they have a similar design to modern GT-R racing cars and are built to cope with high lateral G-forces.
