We’ve seen a lot of engine swaps so far, but few managed to impress us like this one here does. What you’re going to see and hear in the clip below is a mind boggling fourth-generation Nissan Patrol with a Skyline engine under its hood that can lift up the dirt in an instant while blasting your ears with one of the nicest sounds in the automotive industry.
Although some Nissan Patrols from the period were powered by almost similar but detuned engines with the Skylines’, this owner decided to go fully berserk and drop in a RB25DET inline-six straight from the sportscar.

In standard shape, the twin-turbocharged, twin variable cam unit makes up to 250 hp and 319 Nm (235 lb-ft) of torque. Still, that heavy 4-wheel drive car seems to be motivated by a lot more than that. I mean, look at how viciously it rides on that dusty trail around the farm.

The guy who posted the video says nothing about the changes he did to that engine but we’re sure a derestricted exhaust, a new intake and some tinkering with the fuel injectors ramped up the power at least 100 hp more.

Don’t believe me? Just have a look at it in the video and listen to its viciousness.
