The Mona Lisa or Gioconda as other people like to call it is considered one of da Vinci’s greatest creations and it certainly has something special about it. While thousands of critics tried to pinpoint exactly what that is, the painting is still shrouded in mystery.
It’s not the case of the Monza Lisa though, another unique creation that now resides in Italy. It started off in the garage of a certain Horatio Pagani, the man behind the cars that wear his name all around the world.

The Huayra received a special titanium exhaust and presumably became loudest one of its kind in the world. Until the Guinness officials get down here and measure the decibels this car makes and then go around the world and tape the other Huayras as well, we can’t be sure though, now can we?

Furthermore, by the sound of it, I can honestly say I’m not impressed. The sound the turbos make coupled with the larger pipes makes for a weird combination that has a just a modest burble on overrun.

In stock guise, the Huayra has an AMG-sourced 6-liter V12 with two turbochargers good for 730 HP and 1000 Nm (737 lb-ft) of torque. It’s a monster that reaches 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.3 seconds and goes all the way up to 360 km/h (224 mph).

The delivery to the wheels is done via a 7-speed automatic gearbox that is extremely fast while the weight of the whole thing helps out a lot, tipping the scale at 1,350 kg (2,976 lbs). Considering almost all of it is made of carbon fiber that’s really not that surprising.

As far as the La Monza Lisa being the loudest Huayra in the world, I’m not exactly sure what to make of such a statement. To be completely frank, it left me quite unmoved. That doesn’t say a word about the performance and desires I feel whenever I take a look at one of these Paganis though.
