Audi will make the RS3 available on the US market, but that's only half of the story, as the Ingolstadt carmaker will also bring the Q8 to the American party.
While Europeans are happy with the RS3 in its hatchback guise, Americans are more inclined to go for the RS3 sedan. At least that's what Audi officials think.

Speaking to Autonews, Audi of America CEO Scott Keogh confirmed on behalf of the company that the US market will receive both the RS3 performance model and the Q8 SUV.

"We really, really want the RS3. The sedan is going to be a great positioning car, a great halo car. I'm very confident we'll see that car in the market. That's as far as I'm going to go," Mr. Keogh said.

Besides the performance sedan, Audi will also want to squeeze in the upcoming Q8 SUV but only after its European debut. In other words, the Audi Q8 will step on American soil in 2017 and Audi officials already have high hopes for the car's future.

Regarding the Q8, the Audi of America boss was crystal-clear that the SUV would be an important asset to the company's interests on the other side of the pond. He also added that the car is something "we will see" in the United States.

Coming back to the RS3, it will be interesting to see how the potential USA customers will receive the 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine. But bearing in mind that the unit delivers 367 HP and allows the RS3 to blast from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds, it should do well. What do you think?
