AWD Dodge Challenger GT Concept Spearheads Mopar’s Vicious SEMA Offensive

Fiat Chrysler seems to be determined to remind everybody at SEMA of the "Mopar or no car" punch line. At least that’s what we understand from their massive custom vehicle offensive, which spreads across many brands that belong to FCA.

We’ll start with the spearhead of this offensive, which comes in the form of the Dodge Challenger GT AWD Concept. The Challenger was never a less-than-exciting muscle car, but you can’t go wrong by saying it is also a late bloomer. Not only has the 2015 MY revamp brought us the Hellcat but now we also get this all-weather delight.

Since the Challenger uses parts from an old E-Class platform, we can’t be all that amazed about the chassis being fitted with AWD. In fact, we’re pretty surprised by Dodge’s decision not to bring this into production.

That’s quite a shame - the eight-speed automatic would’ve made such a great pair with those beefy wheel arches. And with all-wheel-drive and wider tracks, the beefy Challenger could’ve given the all-new Mustang and Camaro something to think about.

Dodge fans who actually want to purchase parts and accessories from the Chrysler division that handles this will be thrilled with the Charger Deep Stage 3, which showcases a melange that includes the Scat Pack 3, performance brakes, strut tower braces, and a custom suspension.

There’s also the all-dark Dart GLH Concept, a nod to the Omni GLH, whose highlight is an aluminum hood.

Over in Chrysler land, we find the 300 Super S, which offers a complete tuning approach. In the tech department, the engine, suspension, brakes and wheels (22 inches) have been touched, while a Matte Cerulean hue covers everything - you should check out the image gallery below, which includes a pic of the sedan’s front grille. This has more Mopar Ms on it than the entire stand and we love it. Chrysler 200 fans have not been forgotten, with the 200 S Mopar catering to their needs.

In the Ram Trucks corner, we find an “X” incarnation of the Ram 1500 Rebel. The truck wears 35-inch Toyo tires, secured around 17-inch beadlock wheels.

The connection to the (off)road is further refined with the addition of air springs, while a concept skid plate protects the truck's nose.

Fiat enjoys its fair share of Mopar goodies, with the 500X Chicane, a city cruiser, as well as the 500X Mobe, which has a connection to the kiteboarding world.

Mopar also covered the blue corner area of the market, showing mods for commercial machines. The list is led by the ProMaster DragMaster, which is ready to cater to your drag racing needs, towing a Dodge Challenger Drag Pak and offering all the necessary tools. Those who enjoy diving activities are treated with the ProMaster City DiveMaster.
