The guys from Akrapovic now have a brand new commercial going around showcasing their exhaust system for the M4. That solves an issue that’s a non-issue actually. Confused?
Well, the early reports claimed that some cars had a rather dull sound to them while others acclaimed the way the M4 sounded like. Those sort of things happen all the time as everyone appreciates a sound differently but the discrepancies were too big to be ignored. We knew something was off.
Then, we got to review the car ourselves and noticed that it sounded just like an inline 6-cylinder should. A couple of days later we got word from the NHTSA that some cars are being recalled because of a missing resistor. As it turns out, that resistor was partly responsible for some underperforming exhaust systems on affected cars. Mystery solved!
Even so, people will always want a special sound for their cars. Some prefer it to be high pitched while others prefer it to be deeper and more menacing rather than just all out screaming. There’s a choice for everyone out there and Akrapovic is known for being at the top of the aftermarket exhaust food chain.
Their latest commercial was done by Wes Howell and it’s going to air in the US. As you’re about to see it’s hair rising to say the least but it still might not be to everyone’s taste. If this doesn’t suit your fancy, you might wanna give the Eisenmann system a chance.
