Arai reveals the all-new design for the Isle of Man TT 2015 Limited Edition helmet, and we really loved the looks of the new lid. Like always, the design of these special helmets is signed by Drudi Performance, the workshop of the same Aldo Drudi who decorates Valentino Rossi’s MotoGP helmets.
The graphics of the Arai RX-7 GP Isle of Man TT 2015 Limited Edition helmet show a very neat blend of old-school and modern design, though with an obvious penchant for the former. The central racing stripe and the checkered flags on the jaw leave no room for misinterpretations - this helmet tells a road racing story.

Drudi added the three legs of Man symbol, which happens to be the flag of the country as well on the sides of the Arai helmet, superimposed over a map of the Snaefell Mountain circuit, again a strong testimony of the racing heritage for the small island. The TT lettering is cleverly integrated into the design adjacent to the racing stripe and blends in perfectly with the checkered flags.

Arai quality and Isle of Man TT heritage

Since we are talking about an Arai RX7 GP helmet, it’s obvious we’re dealing with premium craftsmanship quality and top-drawer protection. The outer shell is described by Arai in very technical terms and even comes with special reinforcement structures around the visor port developed for F1 helmets.

SNC (Structural Net Composite) incorporates a structural net reinforcing material embedded between Arai?s exclusive Super Complex Laminate layers. An organic material, called AR Mat, with a lower specific gravity is used that bonds permanent to the Super Fiber shell material to increase shell rigidity. A belt laid peripherally on the top of the eye- opening of the shell increases the rigidity of the shell even further. This belt construction was devised during F-1 helmet development to reinforce the forehead area of the shell.

Adjustable geometry increases aerodynamic efficiency by means of the AirWing, a spoiler, diffuser, as well as high-tech ventilation ports. The Arai RX7 GP Isle of Man TT 2015 Limited Edition can be pre-ordered now for £768, which stands for $1,150 or €1,085, in sizes XS through XXL.
