Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo Exhaust Sounds Insanely Good at Paris Concept Show

We don't know if anybody has seen the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo moving or has heard its thumping W16 engine. But this is a treat that we just can't pass up.
As far as we can figure, the footage was shot by World Supercars as the Bugatti study was leaving the Paris Concept Car Show. We also have another clip shot by somebody else that has better lighting, but no exhaust.

The Vision Gran Turismo is, of course, just a study. It was created especially for the realm of racing video games. However, everybody knows that the all-new Hypercar that the company is cooking will look very similar.

The engine that bellows sound through those four exhaust pipes is the same one used by the Veyron. However, it sounds a bit different, since the concept wasn't designed to comply with emission and sound regulations.

The production model called Chiron will be a hybrid with either 1,500 or 1,600 horsepower and 1,500 Nm (1,106 lb-ft).

As crazy as that sounds, it doesn't impress us as much as the rumored 0 to 100 km/h time of 2.2 seconds or the top speed of 467 km/h (290 mph). Just to make things clear, that was the land speed record in 1935.

The Chiron will keep many of the design features you see on this concept, including the wide C-shape that defined the door and the headlights. The scallop engine deck and the rear quarter will also be similar.

"Bugatti's design DNA has reached a new stage in its evolution. Given the nature of the project, our concept car for Vision Gran Turismo is overstated and pushes performance to the limits, but its progressive design language will clearly show the direction that Bugatti's design will take in the coming years," said Achim Anscheidt, Head of the Bugatti design team.

If you liked this concept but aren't a Bugatti fan, there's a good chance that you'll find something else to your liking in the Complete Guide to GT6's Vision Gran Turismo Concept Cars.
