We’re big fans of the Transformers, not in the Hollywood version but rather the original cartoons that pictured them. Ok, maybe the first two movies were ok-ish but after that it all went south in a hurry.
No matter what we think of it though, the whole Transformers universe is fascinating young people today, and it will keep on doing so for at least a couple more years. Proof in this regard are the thousands of replicas made of the characters in the action flick or cartoons.
Optimus Prime and his Autobot friends have been idolized by teenagers around the world for quite some time now, and the phenomenon is not going to stop. But if you were to name one character that you liked the most, who would it be?
In my case, it would definitely be Bumblebee. Peculiar choice, right? I know he doesn’t speak like all the other Transformers and uses bits of pre-recorded audio instead. I also know he’s not the most powerful of the bunch and gets hurt a lot but he definitely has the biggest heart.
That and the fact that he’s too loyal for his own good made him climb to the top of my chart. He’s also the one that is played by a Camaro in the movie franchise and what we stumbled upon on Facebook will leave you breathless.
It looks like a mechanized version of Bumblebee that was spotted doing a public performance in Hualpen, Chile. While it might not be perfect, it’s the best replica we’ve seen so far of the popular robot. Sure, the legs could use a little more work as well as the hands and some other details but heck, I’m pretty sure this was done on a budget.
Keeping that in mind, it’s impressive how hyped the crowd goes when the Camaro turns into Bumblebee and how good it looks in the process. Now if only it would be drivable and available to buy...
