There comes a time in the life of any editor when a crash video reminds why Bentley is cooler than Porsche though a car he completely forgot about. Between 1998 and 2009, Bentley made a car called the Arnage, the twin sister of the Rolls-Royce Silver Seraph.
What's funny is that in exactly the same year this 5.4-meter brute went out of production, Porsche started making its very first luxury four-door sedan, the Panamera.

Just to give you an idea of the disparity between these two cars, while the Panamera's biggest engine was and still is a 4.8-liter V8, the Brits offered a "six and three quarter liter" V8 with twin turbocharging. And while the Germans give you a 7-speed PDK twin-clutch or an 8-speed Tiptronic, the Arnage could even make due with a 4-speed automatic. Why do we need so many speeds anyway?

In any case, a Bentley Arnage and a Porsche Panamera were recently seen by the side of the road on a highway in Dubai. The two had been incapacitated as a result of a crash and they appear abandoned. We don't know what happened, but judging from the damage, we guess the Porsche rear-ended the Bentley offset to the left. This in turn hit something else and ripped off its front bumper, probably as a result of the crash barrier.

Were the two V8 beasts racing? Probably not. Sandstorms can create bad visibility which in combination with a traffic jam usually results in this type of crash. Only in Dubai would you see a crash like this.
