BMW 1M Gets BBS Wheels and Other Goodies

The BMW E82 1M Coupe was and still is regarded as one of the craziest creations ever to come out of Munich. Being made only with a manual gearbox and featuring a perfect 50:50 weight distribution, the baby M as it was called is now a desirable car. This owner wanted to make his special.
Therefore, he went to the guys from European Auto Source and asked them to help him out. No extraordinary demands were made and the car was done in no time, ticking another box in the ‘satisfied customers’ list.

The whole process started with an Akrapovic exhaust system made of titanium and some stainless steel catless downpipes. Those alone changed the car’s pedal response and power output but let’s not digress.

Then came a set of 19” BBS FI wheels along with a lightweight performance carbon fiber front lip, a MRG titanium race stud conversion kit, Vorsteiner’s GTS-V carbon fiber rear diffuser and Ohlins’ Road and Track DFV coilover system for a new stance. That’s on the outside.

Inside the two-door coupe, the 1M received a Performance steering wheel as nothing else needed changing. Under the bonnet, things went a little different. That’s where a Forge Motorsport intercooler was installed along with an Evolution Racewerks N54 diverter valve charge pipe. As you can see, the end result is quite impressive.
