‘London, my good man, is fast becoming the financial and cultural capital of the world’ Archie said in the breathtaking Rock’n’Rolla film directed by Guy Ritchie and I couldn’t agree more. All it takes is a short trip to the capital city of the UK to realize this and notice how things are working.
London is also the home of the Savile Row, the one place where you can get a bespoke, tailor made suit like in no other part of the world. One of the names that is currently extremely respected in this business is Richard James.

Starting off back in the early nineties, he managed to rise to the top and afford luxury amenities that might’ve seemed extremely far fetched some 23 years ago. Amenities like a BMW i8 that is a stunning car by itself and draws attention no matter where you drive it.

No, Richard didn’t buy one but BMW offered him a car for a recent show that took place in London. Since this was going to be just a showcar, it had to draw attention with more than just its original looks. Therefore, the designer commissioned BMW to wrap the plug-in hybrid in a special livery.

As you can see in the photos posted below, they gladly obliged and the Bimmer got a custom wrap done right in the BMW UK Bracknell headquarters by the company itself. The designer even posted a photo of the car on Facebook as it was getting its makeover.

While we’re not fans of the lettering on it, the color scheme does seem interesting and we wouldn’t have expected anything else from Richard. Now, if only he’d be willing to create an art car out of one... That would definitely make our day!
