The latest is the V3 SUV that made its public debut in front of our lens on the floor of the Shanghai Auto Show. With a brisk, daring design on the outside, the Brilliance creation does look like a proper car and not some made up Frankenstein creation like some other rides we’ve seen.

Inside the cabin, the design is fresh and colorful even though it’s made of lower-quality plastic. The red accents that go all around compliment the dark overall theme and the contrasting stitching brings a nice touch to the mix.

For now, the first engine to be available under the bonnet is a 1.5-liter plant but not from BMW. It’s a four-cylinder mill turbocharged plant making 150 HP and 220 Nm of torque hooked up to a manual gearbox. Since most Chinese customers prefer automatics, a slushbox could be introduced in the future but it’s not available right now.

Standard kit includes a passenger airbag, Bluetooth support, ABS + EBD, cruise control, front fog lights, 7” touchscreen display, a McPherson suspension, rear torsion beams and 18-inch wheels. Not bad, to be honest.
