In case you missed this year’s Baja 1000 race you probably haven’t heard the celebrity news involving the famous Mexican contest. Kris Kardashian’s ex hubby and former Olympian Bruce Jenner was in fact racing himself. Bruce had his son, Burt, and professional driver Craig Potts along, but unfortunately did not manage to finish the race.
In fact, Bruce flipped the trophy truck he was racing almost 1,000 miles short.

Baja 1000 had the three friends partnering up for quite a race, but odds were not in their favor this time as the experience ended way too early. “Burt started as the driver while Bruce navigated, but they got a flat at mile 140. Then they switched drivers and Bruce drove, but he flipped the truck at the 185 marker,” the owner of the 850 horsepower machine told People.

The professional driver added that the car was not totaled, nor was anybody hurt and that the former Olympian is actually quite a good driver. In fact, according to the source, the little incident is far from being an impediment that will keep the reality TV star from racing again, as Potts says the trio has plans to take on the Mint 400 in Las Vegas.

We did already tell you guys about Bruce’s racing history which includes driving in the IMSA  (Camel GT Series International Motor Sports Association) among others. But racing off-road at the wheel of a 850 horsepower beast is a whole new level, which is why we’re pretty sure the Baja 1000 experience was his dream come true.
