Having just literally stepped out of a BMW M4 I’ll tell you that you’d either have to be absolutely crazy or a dedicated race track master to try and give it more power. Fortunately, the car that Precision Sport Industries put together for the SEMA Show is part of the latter category.
The guys have joined forces with some of the best in the tuning business to create a special project for one of the biggest tuning shows in the world. Their car is absolutely stunning but it’s definitely not destined to be used as a daily driver.
A first hint might be that huge roll cage installed inside that required the rear seats be taken out to have room. Sure, it will save your life in case you roll over but do you really need to go that far?
Another thing that will give you a hint that going grocery shopping in this car will basically hurt you are the seats that remained inside the cabin. The front seats (those comfy, supportive ones BMW made) were replaced with a pair from Sabelt, called GT600 that are made completely out of carbon fiber. That save a couple of kilos as well.
Other changes include Vorsteiner’s GTS carbon fiber front spoiler and rear diffuser as well as some 19 inch wheels from them, BC Racing prototype coilovers with camber plates, 6-point safety harnesses, and BMW Performance grille surrounds.
On the performance side, the S55 engine received a JB4 Beta ECU remap along with Gintani downpipes and BMW filters. To top it all off and keep things in check, Brembo GT 380mm brakes were installed. Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait one more week to get the down low on the complete specs of the car. It’s going to be worth it, though.
