Custom-Paint BMW S1000RR Looks Painfully Awesome

Even people who are not big fans of sport bikes agree that the BMW S1000RR is a looker. A fairly new member of the superbike family, the S1000RR has quickly built a very strong reputation and become one of the most coveted bikes for riders in search of solid racey performance out of the box. Its real-life performance and tech specs have been backed by an authoritative presence on the tracks around the world, so it’s easy to understand the magic allure this bike has.

BMW S1000RR’s peculiar, asymmetric looks have been the other thing which caused riders to turn their heads. However, the bike has never exuded too much flamboyance and for reasons which still elude us, we don’t see as many custom-painted S1000RRs as we hoped.

While in the case of the carbon fiber-laden high-performance BMW HP4 such a reticence is more understandable, we expected to see many standard S1000RR bikes dressing up jaw-dropping liveries. Still, it looks like BMW’s superbike is no match on the catwalk for the Hayabusa or the liter Ninja, two of the custom painters’ favorites.

Conservative colors come from BMW

On one hand, BMW themselves have always delivered the bike in rather conservative liveries. Some say that dishing out more special edition color schemes could have been a very neat incentive for the customers, but things are still a bit fuzzy.

However, we managed to get several breathtaking photos of the S1000RR dressed in other colors than what we are almost growing tired of seeing. The purple machine looks like the real deal as the fellow uploading the photos speaks about them adding “just finished up a custom painted BMW S1000RR.”

Color aside, the bike’s details and color accents are mind-blowing and even though this tone is not exactly our favorite, we must bow to it. Sadly, the rest of the bikes are photo manipulations, but a great source of inspiration for future works, nevertheless. As for the BMW logo lights... these are trick!

We here cannot decide between the blue and the yellow versions, but the teal doesn’t look bad at all, either, if a bit too flashy. What’s your pick?
