When it comes to four-door sedans with muscle car credentials and a go-faster attitude, the Cadillac CTS-V is at the top of the food chain. While many people prefer the BMW M5 for its German precision and other whatnots, the CTS-V has something the M5 could only wish for: American Vee-Eight brawn.
Take the second-generation Cadillac CTS-V as a prime example of that. Underpinned by the GM Sigma II platform and enhanced by dampers filled with magnetorheological fluid, the 2009-2015 model year CTS-V is certainly capable at carving corners. However, the 6.2-liter supercharged LSA V8 engine is the business end of the previous-gen CTS-V.

Based on the LS9 V8 from the C6 Corvette ZR1, the LSA produces 556 horsepower and 551 lb-ft (747 Nm) at the crankshaft. However, the owner of a 2009 model year CTS-V wasn’t happy with that kind of get-up-and-go, which is why he employed 21st Century Muscle Cars to squeeze even more power from that V8.

Cue the vehicle you can find here on Craigslist and in the following photo gallery. With 800+ horsepower at the crank and 704 RWHP according to the dyno, this is one seriously fast luxury sedan. With a conservative tune for 93 octane gasoline, reliability shouldn’t pose a problem either. Furthermore, take a look at the condition of the paint and interior upholstery. This may be an old car, but its owner certainly took care of it.

The last photograph in the gallery details each and every tasteful upgrade this Caddy boasts. The competition cam with dual valve springs and the stainless steel long tube headers should make this machine a loud beast even at idle. The price? That’ll be $41,000 or less than half of what an LT4-powered 2016 Cadillac CTS-V sedan costs. What will it be, then? The standard 2016MY or this 2009MY with more power than most of us can handle?
