The Polish interior specialists at Carlex unveiled their latest creation, based on a Porsche 911 Carrera 4S.
As usual, the guys at Carlex revealed their latest creation on their Facebook page and not on their website. This means the attached photo gallery isn’t at the highest quality level possible. The Facebook project unveiling was just as limited in details as any other Carlex reveal, but they seem to make up in craftsmanship for their small volume of words.
This Porsche 911 project didn’t stray from the company’s usual pattern. All the mods have been done on the interior, while the exterior remained unchanged. After all, the Porsche 911’s design isn’t for many to mess with and is best left alone.
When it comes to the interior, the leather specialists at Carlex did their usual magic and provided the customer with a red leather upholstery with black accents and red stitching. Since it was released at the end of December, we can’t help wondering if this version is Carlex’s Christmas surprise for the Internet or this was the customer’s exact desire.
Anyhow, the entire interior has been refitted with red and black leather. On the seats, the leather has a distinct pattern, and so does the one on the steering wheel. Furthermore, the backrests have what seems to be an embossed name (we can only presume on this one, we have no idea what PTAKU is).
If you ask us, the design of the seats is acceptable, to say the least, but we couldn’t live with that steering wheel. Some of us in the autoevolution newsroom consider that the steering wheel’s leather pattern is just plain ugly and shouldn’t have been altered this way, but to each his own.
However, we do appreciate the design on the dashboard, the red stitching on the upper side, and the red leather on the bottom side. The gear selector has also received the Carlex red and black leather treatment and doesn’t look bad at all.
