Around mid-July we told you that Triumph Motorcycles would have one of the Scramblers used in the latest Jurassic movie under the hammer. The bike was listed on eBay and it fetched more money than expected.
The Jurassic Scrambler was sold for £28,000, which is the equivalent of $43,700 or €39,850. Considering the fact that a Triumph Scrambler sells in the UK for £7,900 (equivalent of €11,250 or $12,350), the sale can be considered a huge success.

All the proceedings of this auction will go to the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride, which si Triumph Motorcycles' official charity partner. The money will be used to fund relief and research in help of those suffering from prostate cancer.

Only three Jurassic Scramblers are available and this one was the only up for sale

Only one lucky and wealthy collector could get hold of a Jurassic Scrambler. A total of three bikes have been supplied by Triumph and prepared for the movie, but only one was made available. The first found a cozy place in the Triumph museum, as it was natural, while the second Scrambler went to Chris Pratt, and it's hard to believe he is willing to sell the bike now.

We might, of course, see it up for grabs in the future, in similar charity events or being sold to fund other collectibles, but that time is nowhere near.

The bikes come with all the paperwork proving their origin. No mention was made as to any modifications over the stock trim of these machines so we can expect that they are the same 865cc parallel twin machines that produce 59BHP @ 6800 revs and a peak torque of 68Nm (50.1 lb-ft) @ 4750 revs.
