Dumb and Dumber Get Cocky over Nothing Nearly Causing a Crash

Many believe that once we get behind the wheel of a car, our personalities suffer a sudden change that makes us react differently than we would in similar circumstances outside the safety of our vehicles.
Personally, I disagree with this hypothesis. I think that nothing really changes but our willingness to let our personality out, allow it to run free and do whatever it wants. If deep down inside you’re an asshole with no empathy who only behaves decently in day to day life because he’s afraid of what the other people will say or do, you’ll be the kind of driver that cuts everyone off, never uses the turning indicator, and gives the finger left and right.

If you’re the frustrated type, the vigilante wannabe who missed his career as a cop and would like to see punished all those who commit mistakes, you’ll take great pleasure in not letting those who overtake where they shouldn’t get back on the lane.

A close analysis of the video below shows that the two guys involved manifest signs of multiple personalities. They take turns in being the former, then the latter, and then the former again. The moment you start to sympathize with one of them, he does something completely douchy, so the other guy becomes more bearable. And then he’s the one behaving like a complete moron, so we’re back to square one.

In the end, you’ll hate them both equally and you will just be glad that their little hassle didn’t end up worse than it did. But the really scary thing is that looking at this clip, you’ll think you’d never want to meet those guys. In reality, though, outside of the safety of their cars, they might act completely normal. Who knows, maybe they would have even become friends had they met under different circumstances not involving two cars and a road.

In the end, the whole shenanigan can be summed up in just a few words: neither of them wanted to brake.
