BMW is currently working hard to make its range of M Performance Parts as popular as possible. While those new kits might work flawlessly on Coupes and Sedans, we’re not exactly sure if they also fit on the X3 for example, an SUV that really knows what the ‘U’ stands for.
Maybe it’s just us getting used to looking at the X3 as a rational choice and not one that gets your blood flowing but fitting the car with M Performance Parts just might not cut it. That didn’t stop the guys from the Abu Dhabi BMW dealership to do it, though.

They got an Alpine White xDrive35i model and went to work. Luckily, BMW seems to agree with us and it’s offering just a small choice of parts for the X3 in the shape of M Performance parts. Basically, all you can get are carbon fiber mirror covers, new black kidney grilles and a new set of wheels.

However, when it came to the exterior styling, they just wouldn’t give up. Therefore, the car also received an Alpina front bumper splitter that completely changes the look of the car. Round the back, new tailpipes can be noticed, from the Kelleners Sport custom exhaust system.

If those goodies are also combined with an M Performance Power kit available for N55 engines from BMW, things are looking even better. That’s because that means the 3-liter inline 6 under the bonnet was taken up to 320 HP and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque, 20 HP and 50 Nm (32 lb-ft) of torque more than the stock figure.

Sure, nobody will ever race this car but it’s nice to know that you have that extra grunt under the bonnet, just in case.
