A hefty slice of the time spent by Maranello engineers when developing the LaFerrari was not directed towards squeezing extra prancing ponies out of the V12 engine or generating electric power, but on making the two forms of propulsion work together.
That and sending the 950 HP (963 PS) onto the rear axle while respecting the traditional tail-happy Ferrari character and keeping the car On the road. Well, many LaFerrari drivers out there are overusing the powers invested in them by the state of Maranello and we’ve got a new example for you.

The douchebag in the clip below, who happens to sit behind the wheel of Ferrari’s halo car, shows us just that.

The man hoons and drifts the LaF on public roads. We’re never going to cast the cast the first stone when it comes to letting the rear step out on the street, but doing it in the mountains is one thing and unleashing things inside a town is another thing.

The guy may or may not have known what he was doing when he slid the LaFerrari on the Italian urban roads, but only about half a lane separated the hypercar from parked vehicles and pedestrians.

Oh well, as it usually happens with such street hooning episode, the driver received enough praise from bystanders. The smiles arrived just as the man used the brake to kill the speed and carry on as if nothing had happened. Oh yes and he did use the turn signal throughout the entire maneuver.

PS: the Alfa Romeo 4C parked on the side of the road was not impressed.

UPDATE: still not convinced the guy is a douchebag? Check out this piece of footage that shows him almost crashing into a car coming the other way while drifting the LaFerrari.
