There are strange things happening in Sweden these days. The guys from GTBoard are now rolling out a new set of videos showing some rather expensive and rare cars drag racing the hell out of each other. However, the results aren’t as expected all the time.
Take this one for example: a tuned RS6 versus a stock Ferrari FF. Logic dictates that the Audi should break the little Italian’s neck in no time but on the track, things went extremely different.

In stock guise, the older RS6 used a Lamborghini engine, a 5-liter V10 to be more precise that was rated at 580 HP and 650 Nm (480 lb-ft) of torque thanks to two turbochargers. Combine that with the quattro all-wheel drive system and you’d be reaching 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.6 seconds.

The thing is, this one was tuned by the guys from MTM and is claimed to make around 700 HP and 785 Nm (579 lb-ft) of torque, stunning figures that should take even this 2.1 ton car to the highest heights.

On the other hand, the Ferrari came stock, with its 6.2-liter V12 engine making the factory claimed 660 HP and 683 Nm (504 lb-ft) of torque. As you can tell, these are obviously lower numbers that seem to work against the naturally aspirated Italian. There’s one number that works for it, however, and that is weight, the FF being 200 kg (440 lbs) lighter on its feet.

Even so, the outcome of the race is rather stunning to be perfectly frank. I’m thinking someone was claiming a bit more than they actually had under the bonnet...

PS: this is the same Ferrari that lost to a stock BMW M5 a while ago.
