The Italian auto maker has recently announced that the world famous illusionist will be the one to put the spark into the launch of Fiat’s 500X model. Fiat and Dynamo have joined forces to create “The Power of X”, a unique Virtual Reality experience that combines magic with the latest VR technology for the first time ever.
Ever since Dynamo: Magician Impossible debuted in July, 2011, Steven Frayne has became one of the most famous illusionists in the world. Among his most popular illusions were when he walked across the River Thames and when he levitated above the London-based Shard skyscraper. Dynamo’s worldwide social following has continued to grow and his 2.2 million Twitter followers and 4.9 million Facebook fans make him quite a big celebrity.
But now that the fourth and final series aired in October, it was only natural for him to keep looking for new ventures. According to Fiat, Dynamo will play an important role in its “The Power of X” European tour which takes the 500X into the main squares of 74 cities as well as 602 exclusive premieres to be hosted by dealerships all over the old continent.
Fans will have the chance to get up close and experience Fiat’s new baby, even taking a ride with a professional driver. Some will also get to know it, only it's going to be on a virtual level, through an immersive digital experience created with the “Oculus Rift” Virtual Reality headset. The famous gadget will reproduce a 360-degree environment in ultra-high resolution 3D for enthusiast to almost feel like they're inside the car.
Like we previously mentioned, those who will visit the exhibition will be able to enjoy the first ever virtual reality magic experience. The unique venture was created through a collaboration between Fiat, Dynamo and the two-time Oscar-winning British special effects company Framestore so it should be quite interesting.
