What do people with supercars do all day? They certainly don't go to work in them during the summer, because joining any one of the multitude of road rallies crisscrossing Europe is far more fun.
While their V8 engines produce a sonorous sound and towers of power, Ferraris are not perfect for driving on regular roads. Because they have narrow windows, visibility is a problem and the wide shoulders and huge wheels make tight turns impossible. Somebody once said that if you buy a supercar, life will be a never-ending succession of three-point turns.

This next video shows the terrifying moments a Ferrari 430 Scuderia driver went through on a narrow road in Italy. After taking a wide left turn, he approaches a tight passageway cut straight though he mountain. There are two opposite lanes, but they are so small that an oncoming truck has to drive on both in order to fit through the gap.

The Ferrari man not only has to wait and sit on the very edge of the road, but also has to worry about another truck coming parlously close to his beloved $200,000 machine.

The video was uploaded by GT Board just a few hours ago, but it's actually a repost from the Gran Turismo Europa 2011, which ran from the 1st to the 8th of October three years ago.

The point of the road rally was to journey through five countries in seven days, driving on some truly spectacular roads in the Alps and staying at some of the finest locations around. But when this drive arrived at his destination, he probably needed a new pair of shorts and pants…
