According to a statement from the Maranello-based automaker, that won’t happen on a professional level. As Ferrari describes it, the FXX K incorporates “technological innovations that will guarantee an unprecedented driving experience to the exclusive group of Client-Test Drivers with whom the Prancing Horse will roll out a test programme over the coming 2 years.”
1,050 PS and “in excess of 900 Nm” (663 lb-ft) of torque
Besides the massive oomph churned out by the electric motor and 6.3-liter naturally aspirated V12 powerhouse, the exhaust system doesn’t get silerncers, while the intake manifolds have been redesigned and given a special type of polishing treatment.Even the center console Manettino switch boasts with 4 performance settings: Qualify (maximum get-up-and-go within a limited number of laps), Long Run (optimizes performance consistency), Manual Boost (for maximum torque), as well as Fast Charge for a fast recharge of the car’s battery.
The performance specifications, Racing Side Slip Angle Control and magnetorheological damping with twin solenoids are extremely impressive, but what strikes you most is the way this track-focused machine looks. Compared to the LaFerrari, the headlights incorporate just two thin strips of LEDs.
While the livery isn’t exactly inspiring, the small wings on each side of the tail give the Ferrari FXX K a Batmobile-like persona. Before the new Prancing Horse will be unveiled in the flesh next weekend at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, do check out its preliminary technical specifications below.
