Ford has proposed a new version of its B-Max MPV on the European market.
The Romanian-built MPV will be available for order with a new engine and trim level. The new trim is called Color Edition and brings ten exterior color finishes mated to a black roof along with matching mirror cases. The top trim level of the B-Max will also get 16-inch alloy wheels that can be ordered with a black finish, black skid plates, glossy black grille, rear privacy glass, and a large tailgate spoiler.

Customers of the Blue Oval’s B-segment MPV with rear sliding doors will also get more options for the interior. The B-Max will be available for order starting this spring with contrast stitching on the seats with “Cognac brown” thread, along with the same stitching for the steering wheel, gearshift gaiter, and floor mats. The company’s SYNC infotainment system is available with a five-inch color display with a navigation system.

Ford’s smallest MPV is also available with features like the Active City Stop and the Ford MyKey technology. The latter brings the ability to establish certain restrictions for the second user of the car, set using a master key, that allow parents to limit the vehicle’s top speed, maximum audio volume, along with other safety-enhancing features designed for young drivers.

The new engine introduced to the B-Max range is a higher powered version of the 1.0-liter EcoBoost gasoline unit. The new power plant was first offered in a distinctive Red-and-Black variant of the Fiesta and develops 140 HP. Unlike the B-Max, the Fiesta Red and Black edition was only available in Red or Black exterior with a contrasting roof, along with a set of mirror caps and grille ornaments to match.

Thanks to the higher power level, the B-Max can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 MPH) in 10.4 seconds. The estimated fuel economy according to the European standardized mixed cycle is 56.5 MPG imperial, or 5.0 liters/100 kilometers.
