The guys at Cam Shaft have once again teamed up with PP-Performance for a one-two combo of looks and performance that leaves you stunned. The car targeted is a hero of the hot hatch segment, the new Golf GTI, and we'll tell it to you straight: it now has 280 horsepower and looks a bit like a Smurf.
We'll start with the work of wrapping experts Cam Shaft, who had the tough job of covering the GTI's body in the appropriate shade of turquoise vinyl. It's a very minty and vibrant color that also has a matte metallic finish added on top that demands a second a third look. For contrast, black is used throughout and is paired with the graphite color of the new 19-inch ASA wheels wrapped in 225/35 R19 sticky rubber.
Under the bonnet of the GTI lies a 2-liter turbo engine that has been boosted from its 230 horsepower output to 280, the same output as its sister car from Spain, the SEAT Leon Cupra. This is the work of PP-Performance, who can do the same thing to your GTI using their ECU remap and 800 euros of your hard-earned cash.
The whole side of the Golf bears the names of some of the biggest aftermarket parts specialists in the VW scene. That's because they all pitched in to make this GTI special. The mods that are most worth mentioning are the H&R sway bars, the ST coilover suspension system and enlarged GFK wings made by Muecke Carbon.
Not sure why, but we're really digging the color...
