Back in the 60s, Aston Martin started to envy Ford for the success of its Mustang. So the British company decided to make their own version which was know as the Aston Martin V8, or Vantage V8.
Although the Series 3 iteration of the Aston V8 was almost looking like a Mustang, it was a lot more special than that, being hand built in a limited number and gifted with far better interior materials and attention to detail.
As expected, Europe’s luxury Mustang never had the same impact and remained somewhat obscure in the automotive history. Still, their scarcity makes them highly wanted by collectors, and this brings us to the one listed here at Hemmings for sale.
This is actually the Volante drop-top version and along with the fact it has been excellently preserved, it has been also gifted with an American heart. Yup, that long hood shields a LS3 supercharged engine that cranks no less than 650 bhp.
The exterior is finished in a perfect Gun Metal paint and the car rides on a set of custom 19-inch HRE Vintage three-piece wheels. The interior is black with red piping while wood panels and steering wheel are giving it a special oldschool aroma.
