The Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance starts in four days, on August 16, but carmakers have already begun playing the online revealing game.
This brings us to Hyundai and their Vision G Concept Coupé. The unveiling of the prototype took place at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, but before we learn more about the concept's features, let's find out more about its conception.

“The concept was designed with coordinated input from Hyundai design studios around the world, but was led by our team here in the U.S.,” said Peter Schreyer, Hyundai’s president and chief design officer.

Their idea was to balance design and performance while keeping the luxury status intact. Also, this should be the opening chapter for Hyundai's next generation of premium products.

So, that being said, let's see what the concept has to offer. Under the hood, the heart of the Vision G is a five-oh Tau V8 engine churning out 420 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 383 lb-ft (518 Nm) of torque at 5,000 rpm.

But what actually pleases the eye from our point of view is the way Hyundai designers handled the interior of the concept. Step inside and you'll find elegant premium leather seats, seasoned with wood trim and gold accents here and there.

I particularly love the three-spoke steering wheel and its sleek but minimalist design. The cabin is also fitted with a Lexicon sound system and several digital displays from what we can tell by looking at the official photos.

We won't insist too much on the concept's exterior styling, but we will tell you that in this department, designers tried to come up with a shape that speaks to the owner rather than to those around the car. As we said, the Vision G Coupé's exterior design is a matter of taste, so tell us what you think about it in the comments section.
