If the 580 horsepower and 3.9-second 0 to 60 mph acceleration run of the box standard Camaro ZL1 aren't really enough to float your boat, then what would you say about a 170 horsepower increase? Not bad of a proposition for a full-on muscle car, isn't it?
That hefty hike comes courtesy of Texas-based tuner Hennessey Performance Engineering. Although the outfit hasn't released acceleration and quarter mile figures for the new HPE750 pack, we're pretty certain this black beast outperforms its factory-spec brother.

Starting from the fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro's 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine, John Hennessey's company upgraded the mill with an air induction kit, ported cylinder heads and heavy-duty valve train bits and bobs, together with a beefier blower pulley.

In addition to those, Hennessey engineers equipped this black-on-black muscle car with a new exhaust system that includes stainless steel headers and high flow catalytic converters. As for the visual sauce applied, a set of big, lightweight alloy wheels and some subtle matte striping on the sides round off the Hennessey Performance Engineering HPE750 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 tuning package.

All things considered, this is not a bad way to blow a few grand on making your Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 go as fast as a stabbed rat. However, don't you dare ask us about the price. For that you need to contact Hennessey, but one thing is certain: this isn't a cheap way of squeezing more power from that V8 lump.
