Icon reveals the new generation of Airframe helmets, sporting revised architecture and refined shaping for better aerodynamics and comfort. The new lids are also compliant worldwide, meeting or surpassing the most important safety standard requirements, and this means pretty much anyone will be able to claw one.
The lids are said to comply with what icon dubs "the modern riding position", meaning higher rear sets and lower clip-ons, a position that dramatically altered the performance of the existing helmets. Designed with the modern sport motorcycle in mind, the new generation of Airframe is lighter than the previous units and generates less drag.

Since drag at high speed is both a nuisance and a factor that increases rider fatigue, Icon refined the design of these helmets. The neckline was sculpted for less interference with the jacket or leather suit collar, improving the air flow when the rider is tucked behind the windscreen.

A five-piece liner ensures better fit

The three-piece internal liner was upgraded to a five-piece design for better wearing comfort, and with the whole helmet becoming lighter, spending more time in the saddle is now more of a reality and less than a dream. No less than 27 combinations are not possible about double what the competition offers.

The shells have grown smaller, but are still available in four sizes for seamlessly meeting each rider's demands. Shells are available in both carbon fiber and composite materials and come with an upgraded vent array and EPS liner air channeling design.

Add the tear-off compatibility for track riders, Prolock positive shield locking system and the Fog-Free Icon Optics visor as standard, plus a generous color and graphics range and you're most likely be hooked.

US prices start as low as $375 for the simple color composite lids and go as high as $600 for the carbon versions.
