Ever since the first BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe saw the light of day, people have been saying that it somehow exudes elegance and style. That body along with the creases down the sides makes it shine in the eye of its beholder. Go a level up and reach for the M6 Gran Coupe and you’re in for an even more interesting ride.
That’s why this car usually demands a serious color, well within BMW’s sober palette. Amongst the colors you usually get to pick you’ll find various shades of black and silver, blues and, if you’re really naughty, red or Sakhir Orange. However, the Individual program allows you to basically paint your car in any conceivable color in this world. You can even dress it up in rainbows.
We would’ve been just as shocked if they’d stopped there but no, they had to go a little further. Therefore, the M6 Gran Coupe received a bunch of add-on that transformed it into a complete beast, leaving elegance behind.
The front end got a new Kelleners Sport carbon fiber splitter under the bumper, the bonnet was changed with Manhart’s vented model, also made of carbon fiber while round the back a new M Performance diffuser houses the carbon fiber tips of an Akrapovic Evolution Titanium system.
Under the bonnet, Abu Dhabi officials claim that the car now has 765 HP coming out of the 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 instead of the stock 560 HP. Unfortunately, they don’t specify who’s responsible for this particular upgrade but we’re guessing Manhart might’ve had something to say here.
Java Green you say?
Needless to say that we were then rather shocked when we saw the color of the following car. Its current owner (the Abu Dhabi BMW dealership) decided to dress it up in a color that’s usually applied to a completely different kind of animal. Yes, they went in the Individual catalogue and picked out Java Green. We would’ve been just as shocked if they’d stopped there but no, they had to go a little further.
