Jackie Chan, an actor who needs no further introduction, has become the co-owner of a racing team enrolled in endurance competitions.
Jackie's team dominated the last seasons of the LMP3 class of the Asian Le Mans series and entered this year's Le Mans 24 Hour endurance race. The DC Racing team will run in the LMP2 class this year and signed an alliance with Signatech Alpine.

Thanks to Jackie Chan, the Baxi DC Racing Alpine team will be the first Mainland Chinese crew to race in the World Endurance Championship and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Another unit from Hong Kong, KCMG, will be on the grid at Le Mans 24H and other endurance races this year.

This season, the team will run in the LMP2 class driving an Alpine A460 Nissan. The car features an Oreca 05 chassis, rebadged as an Alpine A460.

The new entry in the LMP2 class receives support from Eurasia Motorsport through Signatech Alpine, Sportscar365 informs. Another team will be a part of the effort for the French brand. Even if it is their first season in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the team wants to fight for victory in every race they enter.

Naturally, we are speaking about class victory, as LMP2 cars are not as fast as the queen class, LMP1, where brands like Audi, Porsche, and Toyota battle it out for the big win at Le Mans.

Unlike other Hollywood celebrities, Jackie Chan will leave the driving to others, but he will be present at all the events to monitor his team's performance.

The pilot roster includes team owner David Cheng and driver Ho-Pin Tung. The two will be joined by a third driver who will be announced at a later date.

There's still a chance that Chan will participate in some events, but he has yet to obtain the necessary license to run in the big league, so we do not expect to see him racing at Le Mans very soon. If Jackie Chan does race, he will join the ranks of actors turned racing drivers like Steve McQueen, Paul Newman, and Patrick Dempsey. The latter races Porsche models in endurance events.

In over fourteen years, he got behind the wheel of several hundred vehicles and in the offices of the most important car publications in his homeland.
