Jaguar C-X75 Narrowly Misses Aston Martin DB10 on the Set of SPECTRE

Last week we were bringing you the first shots from the set of the new James Bond movie: SPECTRE. Back then we were focused on the new Aston Martin DB10 as it was the only car on the set that was actually moving. This time, we get to take a look at it in motion, being chased down by another rarity: the Jaguar C-X75. It doesn’t get a lot better than this.

The video below was shot in Rome and since this is one of Europe’s most crowded cities, prying eyes simply couldn’t be avoided. Luckily for us, Marchettino was there with his trusty camera and boy, did he get some good shots...

We can see the good guy, Mr. 007 being chased by what we can only presume is the bad guy inside the Jag. The thing is, while the Aston gets all wild and stuff, taking its tail out, the chaser is a lot more composed, getting really close to the curve. That’s not all though.

During one of their initial runs, the driven in the C-X75 apparently was taken by surprise by the brakes of the car and almost rear ends the DB10 causing quite the stir in our office. After all, there will only be 10 of those cars ever made and all of them are to be used in this film. We’re pretty sure that’s not how the producers planned to crash one of them.

And then there’s the sound... Oh, the Jaguar sure has a really nice tune to it that screams V8 to anyone that knows a thing or two about cars. The initial concept had electric engines but let’s face it, that wouldn’t be nearly as exciting as hearing that supercharger whine and 8 cylinders at once...

On the other hand the DB10 also has a nice ring to it but its V12 simply doesn’t cut it if you ask me. Nothing compares to a nice V8...
