The fact that the 2015 Kawasaki Ninja H2 and its 300 hp track-only H2R sibling are state-of-the-art examples of high-tech engineering is no news. Still, with each new video teaser the house of Akashi is uploading ahead of the official launch of the H2, we get a bigger, better picture of how extreme this bike really is.
Kawasaki has recently surfaced two new videos that show tech aspects and speak about how painstaking the engineering effort for crafting these machines was. We already knew that a lot of high-precision CNC machining was involved in manufacturing the components, but it looks like the whole machine is loaded with similar parts.
With only few days left until the Ninja H2 will be launched, Kawasaki is promising some more videos, so stay tuned. We’ll be in Milan when things start rolling, to bring you hot news.

An aluminium airbox?
One of the interesting details about the upcoming Ninja H2 is the aluminium airbox. High-performance, race bikes usually come with carbon fiber airboxes. This material is very light and exceptionally strong, while also being extremely resilient to impact in case of a crash. Now, Kawasaki opted for an aluminium airbox, despite the fact that the fairing of the bike is expected to be crafted from carbon fiber. We are dying to see the bike officially launched and learn about the reasons behind the choice.High revs need perfection
However, it’s easy to understand Kawasaki’s almost maniacal inclination towards showing off the engineering processes involved in the making of the Ninja H2 machines. After all, we’re looking at an engine which is expected to be revved around 14,000 rpm more than once in a while. I wouldn’t even dare starting to count how many times the pistons go up and down during a whole afternoon spent at the track. Even the prospect of what’s happening inside such an engine are sort of frightening, so seeing Kawasaki’s display of tech xxx is sort of reassuring. With only few days left until the Ninja H2 will be launched, Kawasaki is promising some more videos, so stay tuned.
