Kawasaki Ninja H2 Looks More Appealing with the All-New Akrapovic Carbon Exhaust

Top-drawer aftermarket exhaust manufacturer Akrapovic was not idling these weeks and we are happy to show you the first high-performance exhaust for the new Kawasaki Ninja H2, that’s right, the one you can legally ride on the street. The Ninja H2-specific silencer is a new member of the Slip-On series, and is in fact Akrapovic’s new-generation part we saw introduced at Intermot in Cologne last October.

Back then we were not exactly impressed by the alien-looking new carbon fiber exhaust, and the feeling still endures to this day. While we won’t say that this new Akrapovic design in outright fugly, it’s hard enough to say it looks beautiful. This new design is a tad too organic for certain bikes, but to our surprise, seeing it installed on the Ninja H2 was not as offensive as we feared.

A plug and play system which needs no remapping

Too bad Akrapovic has not released some tech figures to let us know how installing this exhaust on the Ninja H2 affects performance. It will be definitely interesting to see how does the 200 hp peak power of the H2 looks when breathing through this can and what ”makes the most of the Ninja H2’s power” means. As for the weight, we can expect a decent shave-off, given the carbon fiber construction.

Akrapovic says that the shape of this uncanny silencer provided the best flow during bench tests and is superior in gas flow to the existing designs… so we can only take that for granted. At least they did not claim it was the best-looking Akra to date…

One of the neat features is that in order to benefit from the new Akrapovic exhaust, all you must do is to remove the stock can and install the carbon one. No engine remapping and no other parts are needed to make things work flawlessly.

The only two things missing now are the tech specs and the price tag. However, with the 25k price tag of the Ninja H2 in Euro or dollars, depending on which side of the Atlantic you are, we don’t expect any bargain from Akrapovic. Stay tuned.
