Kawasaki Ninja H2, street version
Kawasaki is set to unveil the street-legal (sounds funny) version of its all-new Ninja H2 machine at either the AIMExpo in Florida later this month, or at Milan’s EICMA in early November. After introducing the H2R track-only beast at the Intermot past weekend, the house of Akashi is once more set on writing a new page in the history books with a road-approved sports bike that’s nothing like anything before it.
While the mind-boggling 300 horsepower figure of the Ninja H2R makes it the most powerful production motorcycle and allows Kawasaki to market it as offering “the kind of acceleration no rider has experienced before,” the tech specs of the road H2 are still a matter of secrecy, even though nobody really expects it to retain the full grunt of the race-ready model.

Still, judging by the teaser photo Kawasaki revealed ahead of the official launch, the H2 retains most of its racing sibling’s attire, save for the exhaust silencers. Akashi designers went for what appears to be a twin, slightly flared can array, which doesn’t look particularly appealing, truth be told. Clearer, better photos will indeed reveal whether this was only an optical illusion or the aftermarket exhaust manufacturers need to get busy quickly.

The Ninja H2R is said to effortlessly reach around the 210 mph (338 km/h) bar, and the winglets appear to be doing their job exceedingly well according to reports. Even though the street H2 will be a less powerful machine, its carbon fiber body and exceedingly aggressive styling are expected to cause a most warm welcome, as well. Can’t wait to see the first showdown with the ZX-10R and the ZX-14R…

And check out some track action teaser of the racing version of the Ninja H2:
