Since the Wild West is all about villains riding horses, robbing banks and madly shooting their revolvers, the sherif is usually envisioned as the city’s hero. But what if that person had 274 horsepower on his side to catch the bad guys, instead of just one horse?
That seems to be the plan the South Koreans had in mind the moment they thought about this so-called funny commercial. Los Angeles Clippers’s star Blake Griffin is seen arriving in the middle of the scene at the wheel of a white Kia Optima. The basketball player is impersonating the city’s sheriff, as the man storms right in and saves the day.

The Wild West scene obviously takes a weird turn the moment that happens, which is why the director stops the shooting and asks Griffin how come he’s not ridding an actual horse, since that’s what he’s supposed to do. Then, the 25-year old basketball player is demanding that the shooting goes further as he planned, since “taking something old and replacing it with something cool and unexpected is what people want."

Yep, it’s supposed to be a funny ad that highlights Optima’s features. We’re not here to judge it, but to simply point it out: it’s not funny. In case you’re not a big fan of the fellow, we’ll remind you that this commercial is far from being Griffin’s first.

In fact, he has been starring in several of the company’s marketing campaigns this year, with most of them promoting the Optima model and we can tell you one thing for sure, this is not the worse one.
