If crashing a car feels real and crashing a supercar feels surreal, what can one make out crashing a hypercar? This is one of the questions we now unfortunately have to ask regarding the LaFerrari in the image above.
Yes, we wanted to give you a soft intro in order for you to get used to the idea that one of the 499 Ferrari LaFerraris has taken a blow.

All we have so far are these two images, with the second one showing the 950 hp (963 PS) petrol-electric machine before the accident. This pic was snapped from inside a Porsche and it seems the LaF was on a road trip at the time, which explains its company.

The rumor mill talks about this being a British LaFerrari that crashed in France. If true, this would officially make France the least LaFerrari-friendly place in the world.

We need to remind you that, to the best of our knowledge, this is the second documented LaFerrari customer crash. The first took place last year (June 2014) in Monaco, with the Prancing Horse meeting a Golf VI by accident.

Even when talking about minor incidents involving the LaFerrari, the only one that comes to mind happened earlier this week in Paris. It was a Bugatti Veyron L'or Blanc that bumped into a LaFerrari while the two were reversing in mid-April 2015 - at least the Bugatti badge is French...

The damage we can see here doesn't appear to be all that serious. The affected bits seem to be on the passenger side, as well as on the rear. Still, quite an important part of the car is not visible in the image, while offroading excursions are never a good thing when you're in a hypercar. Nevertheless, we'll need to get more info in order to talk about that.

Perhaps all these painful incidents are happening because some French person who is in great error wants to call the car the LeFerrari. Regardless, so far France holds the lead with three such episodes, while Italy has two - the LaFerrari was still in its maker's hands when the first accident took place. An example that was still partially camouflaged was rear ended by a truck in November 2013. In July 2014, the Trento-Bondone Hillclimb saw the participating LaFerrari briefly catching fire.

Until we return with an update, all we can think about is that the cost of the repairs would be enough to buy one a used Prancing Horse in good condition.
