Well, if you don’t currently have enough money to build a drift or drag car, you can still do something constructive and grab one of these new LEGO Technic kits. I just found one that should keep you busy over the next weekend at least.
Right from the start, I have to tell you this is brand new in the Technic line, as the contains of this box will allow you to build a World Endurance Racing LMP1 prototype racecar. No brand, of course, but who cares anyway?

It’s one of the most complex LEGO Technic builds I ever saw and also one of the biggest, measuring almost 50 cm (19,6 inch) in length and also coming with some new parts, like curved panels with notches, gears with clutches on both sides, new transmission driving ring, new colors and more.

The set contains 1,219 pieces in total and, although the box says it will take you three and a half hours to build it, I’m pretty sure following the assembly guides will double the build time. The complexity of this thing is epic.

The doors and hoods are opening, the car has a functional steering and independent suspension, gearing and there’s even an engine with crankshaft and pistons doing their thing. More than that, the guy that built the car here bellow, found a way to put a battery and a motor in it to power some of these functions.
